About Me

My fascination with how human beings can positively affect the quality of their lives began when I started lessons in The Alexander Technique at age 11.

I had lessons throughout my teens, and went on to train as an Alexander teacher when I left school, qualifying in the early 1980s. Ever since I’ve had the privilege of helping people change their lives for the better through learning the Technique.

In my early twenties I added to my skill-set by training as a Psychotherapist, qualifying in 1990 and more recently completed a training as an EMDR Therapist.

I have extensive experience of working with people of many ages and backgrounds; with individuals, in couples and groups in both the private and public sectors. I also design and facilitate courses and workshops.

For recreation I spend a lot of time in the outdoors with my dog and friends, exploring the coastal paths of the UK and the lochs and mountains of Scotland, where I was brought up.

Connecting with the elemental nature of life in all its rich diversity reminds me how interconnected we all are with this magnificent planet of ours.
